Description
DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Louisville District intends to issue a Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Buckhorn Tailwater Bank Stabilization in Buckhorn, Kentucky. This project is a Design/Bid/Build where the streambank of Squabble Creek on the west side of Buckhorn Campground in Buckhorn, Kentucky was affected by a flood event in 2022. The streambank experienced severe erosion which is now affecting the adjacent camper pads. Erosion damage to approx. 500-foot-long portion of the streambank along Squabble Creek is to be repaired. Main efforts include the following scope items: The repair will consist of regrading the stream bank and lining with rip rap stone protection. Additional repairs to several campsites will require grading, gravel camping pad and concrete camping pad placement. In addition, asphalt milling and overlay and subgrade repairs to the campground road will be included. Squabble Creek has endangered darter species and will require erosion control BMPs.Contract duration is 60 calendar days from the Construction Notice to Proceed (NTP).TYPE OF CONTRACT AND NAICS: This IFB will be for one (1) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract. The North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) for this effort is 237990 ? Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction.TYPE OF SET-ASIDE: This acquisition will be advertised as 100% Small Business.SELECTION PROCESS: This is a Design/Bid/Build procurement, Invitation for Bid, sealed bid.
