Project Description: The University of Texas at Dallas invites competitive proposals from experienced and qualified U.S. manufacturers for the procurement of a new Ultra-Low Temperature, High-Magnetic Field Scanning Tunneling Microscope (STM) for the Liu Lab in the Department of Physics, located in Richardson, Texas.
The Ultra-Low Temperature High-Magnetic Field STM will be installed in a purpose-built laboratory with ultra-low vibration and ultra-low acoustic noise, located in the basement of the SCI building on the UT Dallas campus. The system must meet the required specifications and delivery timeline outlined in this RFP.
This solicitation is restricted to domestic manufacturers, defined as firms that conduct the primary design, engineering, manufacturing, production, assembly, and testing of their systems within the United States. Bids from distributors, resellers, or U.S.-based entities representing international manufacturers will not be considered.
