Notice of Intent to Sole Source Aqua Solv SC

General work description: The City of Plant City intends to continue to use Flo Tec Automation Associates, Inc. whom developed Aqua Solv SC, a proprietary chemical, as a sole source to mitigate corrosion issues in metal piping within the community. Flo Tec Automation Associates, Inc. currently hauls and delivers Aqua Solv SC for the City of Plant City. The purpose of this Notice of Intent is to verify with the vendor community that there are no other viable vendors that can provide hauling and the proprietary chemical: Aqua Solv SC.

The City of Plant City has been using this proprietary product since 1983 and intends to acquire Aqua Solv SC from Flo Tec Automation Associates, Inc. as a sole source. Aqua Solv SC polyphosphate (Aqua-Solv) was developed by Flo-Tec exclusively for the City of Plant City Water Department and is certified to NSF/ANSI 60 standards. Aqua-Solv, which is approved by the Hillsborough County Health Department for use as a corrosion control agent in the Plant City Drinking Water System.
