  • Summary:The Town of Leesburg is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors to provide construction services for the Kenneth B. Rollins WTP Chemical Feed System Upgrades project. Work includes replacing existing storage tanks, mixing systems, metering pumps and their control panels, piping, pipe hangers, supports, and accessories, and interior surface coatings. Related instrumentation, wiring, and control improvements, connections to existing SCADA system, in addition to related architectural, mechanical, fire protection, and electrical improvements, are also included as well as all incidentals.

    • I1_2. Bid Additive #1 - Contingent Coating Repair
      This item shall include, but is not limited to, all work and costs associated with coating repair located inside the Sodium Hypochlorite Tank and Pump Rooms. The work be performed in accordance with Specification Section 09 96 00 and shall include removal of all failing coating within the aforementioned rooms where initial pressure washing does not completely remove the failed coating. Failing coating shall be removed to exposed bare concrete or masonry. Back edges of intact coatings shall be grinded back to provide a smooth transition to concrete or masonry. Abrasion of the existing coating shall be completed prior to coating around the area to be coated. Total area of coating repair shall be determined during a joint field inspection with the Owner, Contractor, and Engineer. Repairs shall be as directed by the Engineer and Owner.
