Project Description: The City of Fargo is seeking quotes from qualified plumbing contractors to assist with the completion of its Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Project. The City has completed approximately 90% of the project and is seeking a contractor to perform plumbing modification in a portion of the remaining water meter installations.
The remaining work will primarily consist of plumbing modifications such as isolation valve replacement and/or the addition of flanges for installing residential and commercial water meters ranging in size from 5/8 inch to 2 inches. Associated fittings, connections, and miscellaneous plumbing materials will be necessary to complete plumbing changes at each assigned location and meter installation. Once the required plumbing modifications are complete, the new water meter will be installed. Generally, no installations will be assigned unless plumbing modifications are required. The City may also request miscellaneous plumbing work in support of other projects, including the Lead Service Line Replacement Project.
