Project Description: Fixed fee contract RFP for General Contractor for Lab Construction
The PA Biotechnology Center will receive sealed bids online via PennBid for the Second Floor Laboratory Construction project until January 23, 2025 at 12:00pm at which time they shall be opened online and publically posted on PennBid’s website. All Bidders must submit bid security in the amount of 5%. Per PA state law, 100% payment and performance (P&P) bonds are required.
The PA Biotechnology Center reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to accept the Bid, which is in the best interest of the Center.
The Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center (PABC) is a nonprofit life sciences incubator dedicated to the creation of a world-class biotechnology center; to the promotion of regional economic development and job creation; and to the education and training of tomorrow’s researchers.
This project is to fit-out undeveloped shell space on the second floor of main lab building. There are two spaces to be developed, one is 3500 square feet for labs and offices, second space is 1400 square feet, to be lab, office, and common equipment.
Labs will include casework, and mechanicals and utilities will be tied into existing building.
Some infrastructure is in place, including rooftop air supply and exhaust sized for lab operations.
