Engineering Services RFQ

The Town of Wendell (Town) is soliciting proposals through this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from qualified engineering Firms (Consultant) to be pre-qualified to provide engineering services. The Town intends to pre-qualify multiple Consultants to provide all or any combination of services as defined in the below scope of work as deemed qualified for the Town. Consultants are encouraged to respond to any or all of the components of this RFQ.

Consultants will be selected and pre-qualified for those services which best reflect their Firm’s strengths and meet the Town's needs. Services include, but are not limited to, the design and construction of various projects such as streets, sidewalks, stormwater (to include project design and oversight, mapping, digital GIS file management, and audit concerns), and trails, as well as construction, engineering, and inspection (CEI), environmental work, and other municipal engineering functions.

The selected Firm will serve as the Town engineer and represent the Town in various aspects related to engineering services and working in the best interests of the Town. Additional tasks will include providing professional guidance related to development plan review, and developing a pavement condition survey for Town streets, sidewalks, and trails.

The Consultant shall submit four (4) copies of their proposal in a sealed envelope/box along with one (1) digital version of the proposal (in .pdf format) in their submission to the Town. No facsimile or email responses will be accepted or considered. The electronic copy shall be included in the proposal package as a CD, DVD, or USB flash drive with the respondent’s name and RFQ name clearly marked. Responses must be received no later than 3:00 P.M., Eastern Standard Time (EST) on 4/7/2025. Submittals may be mailed or hand delivered. Any submittals received after the deadline by any delivery method will not be considered or evaluated.

The proposal packages should be marked: REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS – Engineering Services.

Questions regarding the RFQ shall be submitted in writing to Garrett Johnson via email to gjohnson@townofwendellnc.gov no later than 2:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time (EST), on 3/21/2025. Indicate the RFQ name in the subject heading of the email.
