DESCRIPTION OF GOOD(S) A robotic system for assistance with intracranial stereotaxy, including (a) stereo electroencephalography electrodes for epilepsy workup, (b) deep brain stimulation electrodes for treatment of epilepsy as well as movement disorders and mood disorders, (c) placement of closed-loop devices such as responsive neurostimulation, (d) insertion of device for laser interstitial thermal therapy. the device must cover these minimal functionalities. preference will be given to devices that allow for auto segmentation of cranial structures with native software, handle diffusion tensor imaging in the native software, and are optimized for synchronicity with an intraoperative imaging manifold.

SPECIFICATIONS/TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS The site of usage will be Royal University Hospital and Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital. The device must have compatibility with:

i)Stereo encephalography electrodes

ii)Deep brain stimulation electrodes

iii)Responsive neurostimulation

iv)Laser interstitial thermal therapy

The device must be compatible with:

i)Mayfield clamp

ii)Leksell head frame

iii)CRW head frame

Device must allow for import of imaging files from local devices and from server

Preference will be given to devices that allow for acquisition from a native imaging acquisition device such as an intraoperative 2-D or 3-D imaging device. Preference will be given to devices that allow for segmentation of intracranial anatomy ie. Thalamic structures

Preference will be given to devices that enable tract visualization ie. Native diffusion tensor imaging capabilities, probabilistic tract mapping

RELATED DELIVERABLES AND WORK PRODUCT

User manual, warranty, and service agreement should be included.

Availability of device representative support for surgical cases is preferred.

TERM OF ENGAGEMENT/TIMELINES

Goal for acquisition prior to fall 2025.
