- Summary It is the City's intent to enter a one (1) year term contract, beginning January 1, 2027, for liquid sodium hypochlorite. Deliveries will be made by order releases "as required" from the requesting departments/divisions. Emergency deliveries shall be made within twenty-four (24) hours of notification.
PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS
It is the intent of the City of Kalamazoo Public Services Department – Water Reclamation Plant to enter a one-year term contract to purchase 12% minimum by volume of NaOCI liquid sodium hypochlorite (bleach) on an as-needed order release basis. The material must meet the requirements and specifications of NSF APPROVED IN ACCORDANCE WITH AWWA/NSF STANDARD #60.
1 YEAR PROJECTED QUANTITIES
It is estimated that 427,500 gallons bulk liquid will be required per year. This quantity is not intended as a guarantee of maximum or minimum amount to be purchased under this contract; actual purchases may be more or less subject to need and availability of funding. Delivery will be in 4,500 gallons for a total of 95 deliveries a year.
