Description

The WCB is seeking a Contractor to complete a Residential Home Modification in Airdrie, Alberta as per the specifications and drawings contained in this IFB. The project will consist of the following tasks:

1. Asbestos abatement required due to asbestos in the drywall joint compound and other locations as per Hazmat report, prior to any demolition or modifications to the immediate affected areas.
2. Supply and installation of all material and systems described herein for the interior modifications to the existing 1091 square foot bi-level with an fully finished basement, and a new 264 square foot addition to the west side of the home to accommodate an elevator shaft and new bathroom on the basement and main floor levels, as well as a grade level entry as indicated on drawings for barrier free accessibility.
3. Provide new concrete sidewalk and ramps as shown on the drawings.
4. Interior modifications as indicated on the drawings along with a new kitchen and bathrooms.
5. New exterior vertical platform lift and deck railing modifications.
6. Installation of all mechanical, electrical system modifications in accordance with the requirements outlined on the drawings.
7. Replace flooring throughout as indicated on the drawings.
8. The intent of this project is to meet the “CSA B651-18 Accessible Design For the Built Environment”.
