NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Cascade County Public Works will receive sealed bids for

the construction of the Rainbow Dam Road Repair. Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud

on the 17b day of September 2026, at the time of 1 :00 o'clock p.m. local time, in the office of the

Board of Commissioners, in the Cascade County Courthouse Annex, located at 325 2"d Ave

North, Room 1I1, Great Falls, MT.

The project consists of: Demolition of an existing portion of failing road section, guardrail, and a

small rubble retaining wall along Rainbow Dam Road, and construction of approximately 775

square feet (1 ,100 square feet including buried) of Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE)

retaining wall system, 265 SY of plant mix surfacing, 190 linear feet of guardrail, 2 departure

end terminal sections, paint striping, and other miscellaneous work. All work shall be done in

strict accordance with the requirements of the contract documents.

CONTRACTORS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGEO TO ADD THEMSELVES TO THE

PROJECT'S BIDDERS LIST THROUGH THE GREAT FALLS BUILDERS EXCHANGE TO

ENSURE THEY RECEIVE ANY ADDENDA.

The Bid Submittal must include one separate unbound copy of the Bid Form and Bid Bond, in

accordance with Article 14 of lnstruction to Bidders.

There will be a Pre-Bid Conference at the office of TD&H at 2:00 PM on Monday, September

14, 2026. lnterested CONTRACTORS are encouraged to attend.

CONTRACTORS and any of the CONTRACTORS' subcontractors bidding or doing work on this

project will be required to be registered with the Montana Department of Labor and lndustry

(DLl). Forms for registration are available from the Department of Labor and lndustry, P.O. Box

8011, 1805 Prospect, Helena, Montana 59604-8011. lnformation regarding registration can be

obtained by calling 1(406)-444-7734. CONTRACTOR is not required to have registered with the

DLI prior to bidding on lhis project, but must have registered prior to execution of the

Construction Agreement. The CONTRACTOR must ensure that employees and applicants for

employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national

origin.

Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certifled Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond

payable to Cascade Countv Public Works DeDartment. in an amount not less than ten percent

(10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful BIDDERS shall furnish an approved

Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one

one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount.  Insurance as required shall be provided by the

successful BIDDER(S) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided.

The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone

the award of the contract for a period of not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest

responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the OWNER.

The Contractor is required to be an Equal Opportunity Employer
