The City of Amesbury through its Fire Department is seeking sealed bids for the apparatus bay slab repairs at the 124 Elm Street Fire Station.
Clearly marked and sealed bids must be submitted to the Office of Administration and Finance, 1 Market Street, Office 215, Amesbury, MA 01913, by no later than 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at which time and place bids will be publicly opened and read. Bids may be submitted by mail or in-person delivery only. Bids submitted by email, fax, or any other method will not be accepted. Late bids will not be accepted regardless of the reason for lateness. Bidders assume the risk of delays in the mail or in the handling of the mail by city employees.
The bidding for and award of the Contract for this project are to be in accordance with the requirements of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149. Bidders are on notice that this project is subject to the schedule of prevailing wage rates as determined by the Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Division of Occupational Safety and applicable Federal Regulations.
A non-mandatory Pre-Bid meeting is scheduled for July 23,2026at11:00AM at the project site (124 Elm Street).
The Proposal Guaranty shall be in the form of either cash, bid bond, certified check, bank treasurer’s check, or bank cashier’s check, made payable to the City of Amesbury in the amount of 5% of the value of the bid.
The successful bidder is required to furnish a 50% payment bond before contract execution.

No Bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of thirty days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays after the actual date of the opening of bids.
