The City of Galax is seeking bids from qualified Contractors for the City of Galax - Rex Theater Revitalization Phase 1 located at 113 East Grayson St. in Galax, VA 24333. The project is generally described as electrical and structural modifications to support audiovisual and lighting improvements to the Rex Theater (being handled under a separate contract). The successful contractor will be responsible for coordinating their work with the AV/ Lighting provider. A pre-bid conference will be held at the City of Galax, 111 E. Grayson St in Council Chambers at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 18, 2025. Attendance shall be mandatory for those submitting a bid. A walk-through of the Rex Theater at 113 East Grayson Street will occur following the pre-bid conference. Contractors may request an additional site visit with City staff at the location of the work prior to bid submission. Site visits can be scheduled by contacting City of Galax staff. The City of Galax reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids.
