Description
PROJECT BACKGROUND: Crescent Falls Provincial Recreation Area (CFPRA) underwent infrastructure refurbishment over the course of 2022 to 2024. After these upgrades were completed and the site opened to the public in the summer of 2024, Central Region Parks Division identified a need for additional site enhancements based on public use. Operations has requested the installation of timber steps at three locations along the Crescent Falls Trail to address potential public access concerns, as well as the re-vegetation three (3) areas (day-use area, tenting area and parking lot) that were impacted during construction.
PROJECT OBJECTIVE: The work aims to improve public safety and enhance the visitor experience by adding stairs to steep segments of the existing Crescent Falls Trail and re- vegetating areas that were impacted during previous construction.
1. All work shall be in accordance with all local and provincial codes and regulations. All work shall be performed by a qualified trades workers, tested and under warranty for a period of one (1) year from the acceptance date of work.
2. The Contractor shall provide all labour, materials, tools, equipment and services including the transportation necessary to complete the work. The intent is that the Contractor provides a complete job. Demolition and disposal costs are to be included in the Contractor’s quote. Site is to be clear of all debris upon completion of demolition work.
3. The Contractor shall be responsible for all damages to the site as a result of this work, activities of this work and activities of their employees and/or subcontractors or their negligent security arrangements. Damages shall be repaired to pre-construction conditions or better at Contractor’s own expense.
