Description

This ITT is an invitational solicitation run via one of BC Housing’s region-specific prequalified rosters for Prime Contractors. This second stage ITT has been posted publicly to enable Subcontractors and/or Trades who are interested in participating in the project to connect with the invited prequalified Bidders listed below.

Only the invited, prequalified Bidders listed below may participate in the bidding process and attend the mandatory site visit.

A sign-in sheet will be provided, and all Bidders are required to sign in. Note that submissions will only be reviewed for those Bidders who have attended and signed the sign-in sheet. No exceptions to this will be permitted.

Brief Description of Work
The work includes Fire Restoration, Elevator Modernization and Lighting Upgrades and as further set out below:
Appendix E – Specifications and Drawings
    Fire Restoration
Units and hallways on the second floor in the fire zone have been abated. Restore fire zone area to occupiable condition to including structural repairs, kitchens, bathrooms, drywall, flooring, painting etc detailed in Appendix E specifications and drawings.
Elevator Modernization                 All 4 elevators to undergo modernization, phased one at a time.
Lighting Upgrades                 Replace all lighting with LED.
Anticipated Schedule
Building permit has been issued, fire restoration and lighting upgrades must be complete by December 31, 2025.

Project Invoicing
Fire restoration work to be invoiced separately from the elevator modernization and lighting upgrades, which will be invoiced together.

Exclusion of United States Based Suppliers

Suppliers based in the United States are excluded from responding to this ITT. BC Housing reserves the right, at its discretion, to allow United States based suppliers to respond, in the event no reasonable alternatives are available.

The successful Bidder must cascade this requirement to subcontractors and suppliers engaged in the performance of the resulting contract. The successful Bidder shall be responsible for verifying and demonstrating compliance with this requirement and shall provide evidence of such compliance upon request by BC Housing.
