TUD Water Transmission Main Improvements A & B

This ITB is being issued to secure a General Contractor from the list of Pre-Qualified contractors who responded and were qualified with RFQ No. 2024-0102 .

S ubcontractors interested in working with the chosen General Contractor(s) are asked to submit your company name, type of work provided, contact person, phone and email address in the questions tab of this system and this information will be shared with the  participating General Contractors. The Invitation to Bid (ITB) will award two contracts on behalf of the Tuckaleechee Utility District (TUD), Contract A:  Water lines and Contract B: Booster Pump Stations.  See below for detail.

Contract A: Water Line - This project consists of constructing approximately 12,776 linear feet of 12-inch, 707 linear feet of 8-inch, and 20 linear feet of 4-inch ductile iron pipe water line, two 16-inch HDPE river crossings installed by the horizontal directional drill method (total of 950 linear feet), and associated appurtenances. Bids shall be on a unit price basis.

Contract B: Booster Pump Stations - This project consists of three (3) pre-engineered, skid-mounted water booster stations (400 GPM, 700 GPM, and 1,050 GPM), including buildings and appurtenances. Bids shall be on a unit price basis.
All Bidders must be licensed contractors with an MU classification in the State of Tennessee as required by the Contractors Licensing Act of 1994 and related amendments thereto, with all bid submittals conforming with the State of Tennessee requirements.

This BID had a pre-qualification (RFQ 2024-0102). Bids will be received for either A or B, or both A and B, depending on what was submitted for prequalification. Only Pre-Qualified Contractors will be allowed to Bid on this Project. Bids submitted by Contractors that are not Pre-Qualified will not be opened.

BID DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS: To download or print a hard copy of the online bid for this project, go to our IonWave site and click on "Current Bids" (without registering or logging in). The bid download is located under the “Bid Documents” header at the blue “Bid Invitation” link, for Bidders who choose to submit a manual bid. This document will include blue "Download" links to all bid attachments. All required attachments must be completed and submitted, all response requirements must be included in the manual bid, and all attributes, and bid forms/line items must be completed. Please contact our office if you are unable to locate the Bid Invitation download. It is still advised to register in our system in order to receive Addenda and Q&A.
The Bid Invitation and all Bid Attachments may be obtained through Blount County's online bidding system at https://blounttn.ionwave.net/login.aspx . If not currently registered with Blount County, vendors are encouraged to register under the Supplier Registration tab and submit their response through the online bidding system at this same link. Manual (hard copy) bid responses are acceptable. If submitting a hard copy bid response, it shall be submitted at Blount County Purchasing, 385 Court St., Blount County Courthouse Room 319, Maryville, TN 37804 in a sealed envelope with the Bid Cover on the outside. Bid responses, whether electronic or manual (hard copy) submissions, must contain all required information and documentation including, but not limited to, Response Attachments, Bid Attributes, and Bid Lines and be submitted no later than the Response Deadline. Bid responses are not accepted via email or facsimile. Bidders must allow ample time to submit their response. The system does not allow entries beyond the Response Deadline Date/Time.
