NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The City of Marlborough (“City”), the Awarding Authority, invites electronic sealed bids from
contractors for the Crack Sealing of Various Streets in Marlborough, Massachusetts, Contract No.
ED 2026-09 for the Department of Public Works-Engineering Division in accordance with the documents
prepared by the City of Marlborough. The work consists of furnishing all experienced labor, equipment,
and materials necessary to perform all operations in connection with cleaning, vegetation removal and
sterilization of cracks where necessary and sealing of construction and random cracks in hot mix asphalt.
Construction methods and material requirements for crack sealing shall conform to all aspects to ASTM
D 6690, AASHTO M 324 Type III, as amended. The contractor shall seal cracks on the streets as set forth
within. Any deviation from that list shall be first approved in writing by the City Engineer. MassDOT
prequalification of contractors with the class of work as Crack Sealing, for the project with an
estimated value of $350,000.00 will be required. Bids are subject to M.G.L., c. 30, §39M, and to
minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L c.149, §26 through 27H inclusive. The Bid Package may be
obtained as of 9:00 AM on July 15, 2026 via www.Projectdoc.com using Project Code 260995.
Questions concerning the bid documents must be submitting in writing via email to Mark J. Dascoli at
mdascoli@marlborough-ma.gov no later than 3 business days prior to the scheduled bid opening. All
questions and answers shall be distributed as an addendum to all on record as having received the bid
documents. Electronic Sealed Bids will be received until 9:00 AM on July 30, 2026 through online
submission at www.Projectdoc.com. Hard copies of bids will not be accepted. Instructions are available
online at www.Projectdoc.com or by calling (978) 499-9014. Bid Security shall be at least five percent
(5%) of the greatest possible bid amount.
In accordance with the provisions of applicable statutes, laws, rules, regulations, and ordinances, the City

The City reserves the right to cancel this procurement process or reject in whole or in part any and all
bids, if the City determines that cancellation or rejection serves the best interests of the public to do so.

Publishers Association’s (MNPA) website (masspublicnotices.org).
