Description


Sealed bids for construction of the Water System Improvements Contract C: Fire Hydrant and Valve Installation will be received until December 10, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Dawson City Hall, 101 South Main Street, Dawson, GA 39842, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any bid received after said time and date will not be considered by the Owner. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days except as specifically may be provided in the Instructions to Bidders and/or by State law. Work to be done shall consist of the replacement of +/-27 fire hydrants including isolation valves, hydrant lead, fittings and connections to existing water main; installation of three meter vaults including valves, piping, and fittings; pavement replacements, and all appurtenances necessary for a complete installation. Time allotted for completion of work is 240 consecutive calendar days. All Work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Work will be awarded in one (1) Contract. This project is funded in part or whole by GEFA SRF monies. All Bidders must comply with 41 CFR 60-4, in regard to affirmative action, to ensure equal opportunity to females and minorities and will apply the timetables and goals set forth in 41 CFR 60-4, as applicable to the area of the project. The funding for this project also requires that all materials used in construction comply with the American Iron & Steel (AIS) Act
