Deepwater Terminal Road Extension

The City of Richmond is soliciting bids for the Deepwater Terminal Road Extension project which will improve access to the Port of Richmond by extending the roadway by approximately 0.7 miles from its current terminus north to Goodes Street. The work will include, but may not be limited to, extending the road, shoulder, ditches, and curbs; installing lighting infrastructure; improving drainage including extending the existing double box culvert carrying Goodes Creek; and all associated work items need to complete the project.

The City of Richmond developed this project, with funding and support through VDOT, to enhance connectivity and multimodal access to currently unserved lands east of Interstate 95 and to the Port of Richmond.
