CEMINI26SB Minisplit install at SHA Sylmar Satellite Facility

Install a new 42,000 BTU Three zone mini split system (9K+9K+24K) at the Sylmar Shop 909 Telegraph RD Rising Sun, MD  21911.  Office 9K, Meeting Room 9K and Loader Bay 24K.   The reference units are Mitsubishi HyperHeat M-Series H2i MXZ-SM42NLHZ outdoor condenser Mitsubishi MSZ-GX indoor units.  Substitute models and brands of comparable quality and specifications are allowed by pre-approval from SHA.

Removal of existing through wall A/C unit in Meeting Room.  Prepare wood and drywall surfaces as required to close and seal existing hole in exterior wall.

Any electrical work shall be performed by a licensed electrician.  Normally subcontracting is prohibited on small business contracts.  In this case, the bidder has the option of subcontract the electrical portion, preferably to another small business (less than 100 employees).  You don't have to subcontract and keep it all in-house, if you have an electrician on staff.  SHA shally only pay the bidder one lump sum payment.  Please factor-in your electrical price into your bid.

Bidder shall pull electrical permits for quality control and factor the permits into your lump sum price.

The bidder shall be a licensed HVAC company with 3 references in ductless mini split installs. The license shall be in the name of both the bidding company and the company doing the work.

Site inspecctions do not affect our bid selection, but may help you bid the project more accuratly.  We've attached photos of the the site.  The address for the install is Sylmar Shop 909 Telegraph RD Rising Sun, MD  21911.  The phone number for the main Cecil County shop is 410-398-1565 to schedule an install of the satellite shop.  Please note that SHA D2 has a safety compliance employee.  He may or may not visit your install and verify OSHA and MOSH complaiance and provide feedback about how to be more safe.  Full details in the IFB.
