The successful vendor(s) will act as a production partner, ensuring consistent, reliable, and professional services that meet or exceed touring industry standards.
Originally built in 1985, the Ocean Center has been a cornerstone of Central Florida’s live entertainment scene, hosting world-renowned artists and major touring productions. With seating capacities of up to 8,400 in the arena, 5,000 in the exhibit hall, and 1,000 in the ballroom, the venue is actively expanding its presence in the concert and event market. In FY24/25, the Ocean Center welcomed a range of live entertainment, from comedy and concerts to family shows selling more than 30,000 tickets. : The County anticipates a continued increase in the number and scale of ticketed events at the Ocean Center and Lyonia Amphitheater as part of its multi-year expansion into live entertainment. Events may include public festivals, touring performances, and live entertainment across multiple spaces within the venue. Goal & anticipation 15 concerts, entertainment, family events, community events, etc.
Volusia County also manages the Lyonia Environmental Center Amphitheater, a 700-seat outdoor venue with growing potential as a community performance hub. Together, these facilities are central to the County’s initiative to position Volusia as a premier destination for live entertainment. Please note: the Lyonia Amphitheater is currently under construction, with reopening anticipated sometime in 2026 (TBD).
To support this expansion, the Ocean Center seeks qualified vendors capable of delivering high-quality production equipment and services, ensuring that live events are executed at the highest technical standard.
This ITB is part of a multi-year initiative to reestablish the Ocean Center as a premier live event destination. The successful production equipment partner will help enable this growth by providing high-quality, scalable, and reliable equipment and services that elevate the guest experience, enhance event presentation, and ensure seamless operations across all venue spaces.
