Summary

Support of program objectives - The Midwest Workshop is an environmental health conference offered by Ohio Dept. of Health (ODH) to environmental health specialists and environmental health specialists in training as a low-cost way to obtain their continuing education hours. We plan to hold this conference in Columbus, Ohio. Preference will be given to a location on the outside of SR270 offering free parking with plenty of places for the attendees to eat and/or lodge during the conference. The ideal location would have snacks/drinks that would be available for the attendees to purchase during the day, as we are not able to provide food/beverages. Justification of purchase - We are looking for a facility that can accommodate up to 300 guests in a large room for 2 days. An additional break out room will be needed that can hold up to 200 guests for two days. AV/Sound equipment should be included in the pricing of the meeting space. Two tables for conference registration will be needed in a lobby area outside of the main large room. The conference is planned for a period of two days: March 16-17, 2026.
