The City of Edwardsville, Illinois is issuing a Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) to IDOT prequalified Engineering firms for design engineering services for the Governors’ Parkway Shared Use Path. In order to have your firm considered, please submit RFQ in a sealed envelope containing four (4) copies, marked “Governors’ Parkway Shared Use Path”. Submittals must be received at the City of Edwardsville, office of the City Clerk, 118 Hillsboro Avenue, Edwardsville, Illinois 62025, no later than 6/26/2025 at 2PM (CST). Submittals received after the closing time and date will be returned unopened. Request for submittal documents will be available online by visiting the City of Edwardsville website at

. This project will provide a pedestrian and bicycle connection for the R.P. Lumber Center to the Madison County Transit’s trail system. This project runs on the south side of Governors’ Parkway from Tiger Drive to the Madison County Transit Nickel Plate Trail. The project length is approximately 3,050 feet (0.58 miles). The project will involve grading, drainage culverts, shared use path construction, ADA ramps, crosswalks, signage, and all incidental and collateral work. The consultant selection shall be based on the evaluation of the firm’s submittal by a selection committee. The selection committee shall consist of a panel of engineering professionals employed by the City of Edwardsville. The Group follows qualifications-based consultant selection procedures. The City of Edwardsville reserves the right to consider any submittal and to reject any and all submittals if doing so best serves the public interest. The City of Edwardsville reserves the right at any time and for any reason to cancel this consultant procurement process, to reject any or all submittals, or to accept an alternative submittal.
