Synopsis:
|
|
Lagoon expansion is required at the Town of Birch Hills’ existing sewage treatment lagoon. The expansion will include the construction of a new clay lined primary lagoon cell. The existing primary lagoon cell will be converted to a secondary holding cell. To accommodate the addition of the new primary lagoon cell, the existing forcemain will be extended by approximately 400m and new transfer structures and piping between the existing facility and new primary cell will be constructed. Approximately 75,000m3 of material will be moved throughout the project. The existing fence around the perimeter will be removed and approximately 700m of new fencing will be installed.
