1.1 Scope: The City of Columbus, Department of Public Utilities, is receiving bids until Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 3:00 PM Eastern Time for construction services on CIP 650252-100010, Contract J225, Jackson Pike Water Reclamation Plant Screening Improvements. Bids are to be submitted only through Bid Express at www.bidexpress.com. Hard copies or emails will not be accepted. This project’s work consists of demolition of existing equipment and a building, installation of new raw sewage screens, conveyor, compactor, and a new screenings handling building. Additional work includes sluice gate operator replacement, new stop log guides and stop logs, relocation of Main Drain pump discharge, and other such work as may be necessary to complete the contract. All questions concerning this bid are to reference the project number and the project name and be sent to DPUConstructionBids@columbus.gov. No phone calls concerning questions about the bid will be accepted. The last day to submit questions will be specified in the IFB. Responses will be posted on Bid Express at www.bidexpress.com as an addendum. A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held. Attendance is strongly recommended. It will be held at Jackson Pike Water Reclamation Plant, Administration Building Conference Room, 2104 Jackson Pike (State Route 104), Columbus, OH 43223 on Friday, August 21, 2026 at 12:00 PM with a plant walk-through following the conference. Notice of published addenda will be posted on the City’s Vendor Services website and the addenda will be posted on Bid Express at www.bidexpress.com.

1.2 Classification: All bid documents (Invitation for Bid (IFB), technical specifications,

requirements stated in the IFB for a bid to be considered for contract award.

1.4 Diversity Requirement: This project is being funded with a loan from the Water
