Generator Inspection, Maintenance & Emergency Repair Services

Project Description: The Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit District (SMART) is a Special District within the State of California that owns, maintains, and operates passenger rail service in Sonoma County and Marin County. In addition to passenger rail service, SMART is a common carrier that owns and operates freight rail services within Sonoma County, Marin County, and Napa County.
SMART is seeking Proposals from qualified, licensed, and experienced firms to provide semi-annual and annual inspection, preventative maintenance, load bank testing, as-needed corrective maintenance, and emergency maintenance services for the following SMART-owned standby generator equipment:

The objectives for this Agreement include:
Objective 1: Maintain SMART-owned standby generator equipment in a safe and reliable operating condition through scheduled preventive maintenance with semi-annual and annual inspections and preventative maintenance, as well as, as-needed corrective maintenance.
Objective 2: Validate generator performance and reliability through periodic load transfer and load bank testing.
Objective 3: Ensure rapid restoration of service during failures through 24/7 emergency repair response capability.
Objective 4: Provide reporting documents of test results, load test reports and repair recommendations.
This contract is a Task-Order based contract that has a 3-year initial term with (2) one-year options to extend thereafter.
