1.Introduction
WellbornSpecial Utility District (“District”) is soliciting Statements ofQualifications (“SOQs”) from qualified engineering firms interested inproviding professional engineering services to the District.
TheDistrict intends to establish a pool of prequalified engineering firms toprovide services on an as-needed basis under a Master Services Agreement (MSA)with project-specific task orders.
TheDistrict anticipates selecting approximately five (5) to eight (8) firms,although the District reserves the right to select more or fewer firms based onthe qualifications received.
Selectionof engineering services will be conducted in accordance with the TexasProfessional Services Procurement Act (Texas Government Code Chapter 2254)based on demonstrated competence and qualifications.
Issuanceof this RFQ does not obligate the District to award any contract.
2.District Background
WellbornSpecial Utility District provides potable water service in Brazos and RobertsonCounties, Texas.
TheDistrict currently serves approximately 10,300 connections through an extensivewater system consisting of approximately 500 miles of distribution pipeline.
