Croton Road Over Catharine Creek Bridge Rehabilitation
HUNT 1528-094

Sealed bids will be received at the Schuyler County Legislature Office located at 105 9th St. Watkins Glen, NY 14891 until Thursday, April 2nd, 2026 at 10:00am local time. At that time (10:15am) the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project includes the following Work:

Rehabilitation of the Croton Road over Catharine Creek Bridge, including but not limited to, steel repairs, bridge cleaning and painting, and removal and replacement of asphalt wearing surface.

Bids are requested for the following Contract: Croton Road Over Catharine Creek Bridge Rehabilitation Bid Documents are available for electronic viewing at www.HUNTEASplans.com; including an up to date Plan Holders list.

The Bidding Documents and Bid Forms may also be examined at the following: Hunt Engineers, Architects, Land Surveyors & Landscape Architect, DPC, 100 Hunt Center, Horseheads, New York 14845, Schuyler County Highway Department, 910 S. Decatur Street, Watkins Glen, NY 14891.

Obtaining the Bidding Documents

All official notifications, addenda, and other bidding documents will be offered through the designated web portal with notifications to registered bidders. Neither the Owner, Construction Manager, Architect/ Engineer, nor Dataflow, Inc., as applicable will be responsible for bidding documents, including addenda, if any, that are obtained from sources other than the designated web portal. Bid documents including plans and specifications are available for electronic download for a nonrefundable fee of $49.00 payable by credit card. Bid documents including printed sets of plans and specifications may be ordered in paper format for a refundable fee of $100.00 payable by credit card. Non-refundable shipping charges may apply.

Refunds for printed sets will be made by Dataflow directly to the credit card provided by the bidder. Refunds for payment of one (1) copy of the printed sets will be made to those submitting bids on the forms furnished, if the printed set is returned in good condition to Dataflow within 30 days from the award of the contract or rejection of bids. Any non-bidder may be refunded their deposit only upon returning printed set PRIOR to bid opening.

As bid security, each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond made payable to the Schuyler County, in accordance with the amounts and terms described in the Instructions to Bidders

The Owner requires that all bids shall comply with the bidding requirements specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner may, at their discretion, waive informalities in bids, but is not obligated to do so, nor does this represent that the Owner will do so. The Owner also reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Under no circumstances will the Owner waive any informality which, by such waiver, would give one Bidder a substantial advantage or benefit not enjoyed by all other Bidders. No bidder may withdraw their bid within forty-five (45) after the actual date of the opening, unless a mistake due to error is claimed by the Bidder in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

Attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. Bidders must comply with Section 220-I of NYS Labor Law and provide Certificate of Registration as a part of their bid.

Schuyler County Appendix A (Standard Clauses)1 and Appendix B (Insurance Requirements – Category I)2 are incorporated by reference and apply to all bidders and the eventual contractor.

Schuyler County is exempt from NYS sales and use tax. Exemption Certificate will be provided upon request.
