Area: Office located on the first floor of 32 S. Broadway, Aurora, IL 60505 (front entryway and two bathrooms). All work to be completed in compliance with all local building codes.

Background

The Neighbor Project is a HUD-approved Housing Counseling, Non-Profit Agency located in Aurora, IL. The Neighbor Project offers affordable housing, financial literacy and empowerment services, as well as pre- and post-purchase homebuyer education and support programs—and has received funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the City of Aurora to make various Office Accessibility Improvements at its main office at 32 S Broadway in Aurora, IL.

The project will include the installation of automatic door openers for the two sets of doors at the front entrance of The Neighbor Project’s office at 32 S. Broadway (main doors leading into vestibule and doors leading from vestibule to office) as well as automatic door openers for the Men’s & Women’s restrooms along with other/various bathroom accessibility upgrades.

The Neighbor Project office is an existing, functioning facility operating year-round during normal business hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday) whose operations must be disrupted as little as possible by construction activities.
