The Province is modernizing its legacy Oracle-based forestry data systems to address challenges with scalability, integration, and operational efficiency by transitioning to a modular, cloud-ready architecture that supports real-time analytics and sustainable forest management. To support this effort, a Data Engineer is needed to assess the current state, define a modernization strategy, and design a future-ready data architecture that enables seamless integration, advanced analytics, and alignment with forestry-specific operational and regulatory needs. This includes reviewing legacy schema and performance issues, designing scalable data solutions, leading data migration and validation, and collaborating with internal teams to build agile, resilient, and sustainable data services.
