MAJOR ITEMS OF WORK
Project
includes general construction, including plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, electrical and site work, for the construction of a New Fire Station No. 82. Work includes, but is not limited to the following:
Project
consists of a satellite fire station. All main business with the public will be happening at the main fire station at the City of Oak Harbor. furnishing all labor, materials, and other incidentals for the construction of a new Type V-B, wood-framed, two story fully sprinkled building of approximately 7,202 S.F.
that will house Fire Station #82 emergency responder personnel with (2) apparatus bays, crew living and sleeping areas as well as other fire service-related support spaces.
Sitework will include, but is not limited to, clearing and grading, site structures, storm water systems, extension of existing utilities, electrical, paving, fencing, and offsite work.
The City of Oak Harbor Station 82 hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contracts entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, creed, sex or natural origin in consideration for an award.
The award of the contract will be to the qualified bidder submitting the lowest responsive and responsible bid. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive any immaterial irregularities in the bidding. The City shall make the award as deemed to be in the best interest of the City and shall be the sole judge thereof.
BID SECURITY:
Bid security, in the amount of 5% of the bid sum shall accompany each bid. Security shall be made payable to City of Oak Harbor either by cashier’s check or bid bond issued by a surety company licensed to conduct business in Washington State.

Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project.
