Solicitation Summary

The City of Gaithersburg desires to retain a qualified and experienced Contractor capable of providing emergency and non-emergency service on an as-needed basis to restore and preserve existing streetlight operation. The selected Contractor will be required to provide service in a timely fashion in full conformity with prevailing standards. The City maintains a variety of streetlight types within its various neighborhoods and City facilities, and the City recently completed the conversion of all City-owned and operated streetlights to LED.

The City’s current contract for Streetlight Maintenance and Repair expires on June 30, 2025. The new contract will replace the current contract and is expected to become effective on July 1, 2025. The new contract will have an initial term of three (3) years, with two (2) additional one-year optional renewal terms, for a total contract duration of up to five (5) years.  The contract includes an annual consumer price index adjustment, as outlined herein.
