MODULAR RELOCATION 333 CHARLES STREET TO 62 OAKLAND ROAD
PROJECT #25-19
The Town of Reading, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from qualified bidders for Modular Relocation from 333 Charles Street to 62 Oakland Road, in accordance with Contract Documents prepared by Gienapp Architects, LLC, 20 Conant Street, Danvers, MA 01923.
The project is to selectively dismantle a two-part modular unit that provides two classrooms, currently located at Charles Street, Reading and relocate and reassemble at Oakland Road, Reading. The project will include demolition of stairs, entry/exit decks and elements at the existing site and construction of similar amenities at the new location. The existing building systems will continue to be utilized, and new utility connections will be required at the new location.
The estimated cost of the project is $750,000.
Sealed bids for the General Contract will be received until 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, in accordance with the procedures set forth in Document 00 2113 “Instructions to Bidders”. Filed sub-bids will be re-quired and taken for the following classes of work: Electrical
In order to be eligible to bid on this Contract, a General Bidder must be DCAMM certified for the estimated project cost and in the category “General Building Construction” or “Modular Construction.”
Each Bid on this Contract must be accompanied by a copy of a Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and a Contractor Qualification Statement Update and Bid Bond. Bid-ding procedures and award of the Contract will be in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 149 of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, as amended.

A pre-bid conference will be held at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, April 10, 2025, commencing at 62 Oakland Road, Reading. Convene at the Facilities Office (not the school entrance).
The minimum wages to be paid for all labor on the project are established in a schedule issued by the Department of Labor and Workforce Development, in accordance with Section 26A – 27D, of Chapter 149 of the M.G.L.,
