Title: Bayer Chipco Choice Insecticide

Sarasota County is requesting quotes from bidders to provide the application of Bayer Chipco Choice (or approved Fipronil alternate) by a licensed applicator between March 16th and March 20, 2026.
PRODUCT
Bayer Chipco Choice (insecticide) shall be purchased by the Applicator. Product label is included as Attachment 1.
LOCATION AND SCHEDULE FOR APPLICATION OF PRODUCT
The following park locations require the insecticide application. Field sizes range from 2 acres to 26 acres.
Product shall be applied per schedule provided by Sarasota County Parks, Recreation & Natural Resources project coordinator.
The Contractor will move through the County location by location, based on geographical efficiency and coordination with the County project coordinator.
County will be responsible for marking all irrigation heads, boxes or any areas that will need to be worked around or avoided.
APPLICATION OF INSECTICIDE
The Contractor shall provide a licensed Applicator to slit apply the insecticide per the label directions into the athletic soil.
The Contractor shall slit apply the insecticide into the athletic field turf soil base at a rate of 25-pounds per acre.
The Contractor shall be responsible for general clean up after the application of treatment is complete.
The Contractor shall follow all processes listed in Section 7 (County Applicator Responsibilities) of Sarasota County’s Integrated Pest Management Procedural Guidelines. The County’s IPM Guidelines are included as Attachment 2.
The Contractor shall have an employee on site that can effectively communicate in English with the County and/or with the public.
The County will be responsible for the disposal of empty product bags.
WARRANTY
All work and materials provided by the Contractor shall be fully warranted from the date of the County’s acceptance of the work period for the standard warranty period provided by the materials manufacturer.
Award will be made to the responsive and responsible bidder providing the lowest total bid price.
DO NOT submit a quote of more than $50,000. In the event no responsive and responsible quotes are received under the quote threshold, the County may elect to cancel this Quick Quote and re-solicit using another procurement method.
