SEALED BIDS for construction of BRO-R068(015), Pilot Grove Road Over Trib of N. Moreau Creek Improvements, Moniteau County, Missouri will be received at: Moniteau County Courthouse 200 E. Main Street California, Missouri 65018 until the above time, at the office of the Moniteau County Clerk, and at that time will be publicly opened and read. All bids shall be submitted in the form of hard copy attached.
The proposed work includes: Removal of existing bridge and construction of new bridge with associated roadway approaches.

Contractors desiring the Contract Documents for use in preparing bids may also obtain a set of such documents from Drexel Technologies; 10840 West 86th Street, Lenexa, KS 66214, telephone number is 913-371-4430. Bidding documents will be shipped only if the requesting party assumes responsibility for all related charges. Corporate, certified, or cashier’s checks shall be made payable to Drexel Technologies, Inc. All labor used in the construction of this public improvement shall be paid a wage no less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages of work of a similar character in this locality as established by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (Federal Wage Rate), or state wage rate, whichever is higher.
The Moniteau County Commission hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award.
All bidders must be on MoDOT’s Qualified Contractor List per Section 102.2 of the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, 2025 Edition, Effective January 1, 2026, including all revisions. The contractor questionnaire must be on file 7 days prior to bid opening.
Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on public works project provide a 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project.
The project will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor defects or to reject any or all bids and to re-advertise and to rebid. All materials for the project shall be tax exempt.
Each Bidder must deposit with his/her bid, security in the amount of five percent (5%) of his/her base bid which is subject to conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders.
The DBE Goal for this project is 0%.
No 2nd tier subcontracting will be allowed on this project.
No Bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) consecutive calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
