NFAC DAS Infrastructure Grounding

The Government requires a commercial solution for an isolated instrumentation grounding system. This is a new requirement, as this requirement has not been previously met by the Government and is not considered a follow-on effort to an existing contract. To meet this requirement the Government awarded a single, requirements-type Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) with a ceiling not-to-exceed $620k. Use of a multiple award approach is not appropriate given that the projected orders are so integrally related that only a single contractor can reasonably meet them. All orders issued under the IDC will be made within 12-months after contract award; therefore, the IDC has an available ordering period of 12-months. Funding will be provided at the order level, and the delivery period and FFP order value will be negotiated prior to each order award.

The subject contract action was not awarded competitively. In accordance with FAR 19.8, the subject requirement was negotiated directly with EG&R Engineering PC. The assigned SBA Requirement Number for this effort is KY1747673409K.
