2.0 SCOPE
Dental Units and Chairs facilitate dental examination, treatment, and/or minor surgical procedures performed in dental clinics.

The A-dec 511B dental chair can rotate (swivel) to any position within 30° either side of center (60° total). The chair swivel brake restricts rotation of the chair to keep the chair from moving during a procedure. The A-dec 511B dental chair utilizes the integrated Deluxe Touchpad, and the Standard Touchpad to control the chair positioning (Base up and down, Back up and down). These functions can also be controlled with the use of an optional foot switch. The A-dec 511B chair was developed using pressure mapping to achieve a contour back that eliminates most hot spots (pressure points) to achieve superior patient comfort. The patient population served by the VA healthcare systems routinely present with more severe disabilities than the general population. Wheelchair-bound and obese patients are common. As a result, VA dental providers routinely state that the dental chair patient lift capacity is critical for serving their patient population. The 500lb maximum patient load of the A-dec 511B dental chair is most in the industry. The chair has a height range of 13.5 to 31.5 . The A-dec 511 dental chairs have a Seamless (Non-absorbent) Upholstery that allows for cleaning with disinfectant written into the IFU (Instructions For Use).

The dental delivery unit can be configured for rear or side delivery both left and right, can accommodate or be adaptable for both electric and/or air driven handpiece lines, and integrates instrumentation mounts, assistant s holders, lights, a foot control and an adjustable electric chair adaptable to correct body positioning of the patient during the examination, treatment or cleaning of patients teeth. The A-dec 532B delivery system utilizes the integrated digital Touchpad to finely control all available ancillary devices that are configured in the delivery headed, including, but not limited to: an electric micro-motor, a Cavitron Ultrasonic, or a Satelec Piezo Ultrasonic Instrument. The A-dec delivery system utilizes a silicone handpiece tubing (AlphaSan® Antimicrobial tubing) unique to A-dec.
