Project Description: This contract includes a base bid and two alternate bids for the bio-engineered stabilization of stream banks along the Pleasant Spring Creek near the intersection of Constitution Avenue and E. Spruce Street in Perkasie Borough. The stabilization work will include the installation of geotextile soil wrap with brush layering, coir fiber logs and brush mattress along with the grading of embankments with erosion control fabric and a combination of woody and herbaceous plants. All material, labor, and equipment necessary shall be in accordance with Chapter 105 rules and regulations and Borough Standards.
The PA Fish and Boat Commission requires all work done within the stream to be conducted between October 1 and May 15. Also, the PA Department of Environmental Protection is requiring the work to be completed prior to the end of 2025 as part of the Borough’s MS4 Program. Thus, the work shall be completed between October 1st and December 31st.
