Body Scanner for Juvenile Detention Facility Lobby

The Solano County Probation Department is soliciting bids from qualified vendors for the procurement and installation of one (1) ES3 Millimeter Wave Body Scanner or equivalent to be installed in the front lobby of the Juvenile Detention Facility, located in Solano County, California.

This body scanner will be used to enhance facility security through the non-invasive screening of individuals entering the secure facility. The selected vendor will be responsible for the delivery, installation, testing, and initial training on the operation of the equipment. A front parking lot is available for use during equipment delivery and staging. Equipment drop-off and staging may occur during normal business hours; however, no equipment may be stored outside overnight.

The front lobby currently utilizes a magnetometer for body scanning. This magnetometer will be replaced by the millimeter wave body scanner. The facility utilizes the Secure Technology Value Solutions ES3 Millimeter-Wave system that staff have been trained to use and there would be value is having the same unit in the front lobby.
