SAIT has acquired a facility donated by Imperial Oil Resources Limited on July 2, 2025. The site, formerly known as the Calgary Research Centre, will be renamed the Imperial Energy Innovation Centre (IEIC). The main goal is to relocate SAIT’s current Energy Lab from the University of Calgary’s CCIT Building to the new site.
SAIT is inviting experienced and qualified Proponents to submit a Proposal response to IEIC Energy Lab Installation (Phase 3) and OTSG's Permanent Infrastructure Updates (Phase 2) RFP using CCDC 5B Construction Management approach.
The overall project requires the administration of both phases to be separated due to potential grant funding, hence Phase 2 and Phase 3. Provide pricing breakdown per phase as well as a separate pricing for a backup generator as the program design.
Provide lab or critical area history of experience as this will form part of the evaluation.
