Sealed Bid Proposals will be received by the City of Tuscaloosa, at the Council Chamber of City Hall, 2201 University Boulevard, on October 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM local time for this project, at which time bids will be opened and read.

Pre-Bid Conference: Attendance at the MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference is required in order for a General Contractor to submit a bid on this Project. The Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the Council Chamber of City Hall, 2201 University Boulevard, on October 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM local time.

Project Scope: 2026 Fiber Optic Network Expansion to add resiliency to the City of Tuscaloosa's fiber optic network by placing overhead utilities underground, run redundant underground routes to existing service locations and expand to new service locations through installation of underground conduit.

The City will provide Junction boxes, HDPE Conduit on spools, and Couplers. Contractor will call in their own locates, do the boring, and pull the City's conduit in and install provided junction boxes. All underground bore pipe shall be mechanically coupled using provided couplers only.

Award of the contract will be made within forty-five (45) calendar days from the date of the bid opening.
