NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The Newton County Commission is seeking bids for road building materials for the Newton County Common and Special Road Districts. The Newton County Commission will accept sealed bids clearly marked Bid 2025-02 Culverts, Bid 2025-03 Concrete, Bid 2025-04 Seal Coat, Bid 2025-05 Road Aggregates, Bid 2025-06 Road Oil-MC, Bid 2025-07 Hot Mix, Bid 2025-08 Cold Mix, Bid 2025-09 Plant Mix, Bid 2025-10 Transportation until 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 6, 2025, at which time the Commission will convene to open and read the bids. This will be for nine separate bids. Sealed bids must be received no later than the above deadline and must contain enough comprehensive information for evaluation. Any bid not received at the appointed time shall be disqualified. Newton County will not accept any emailed bids, collect calls, COD shipments or postage due mailings. The County Commission reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids. Questions relating to this bid shall be referred to Commissioner Mark Knight at 417-451-8223.
