This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation satisfying the requirements of FAR 5.201 and FAR 5.203. No response is required for this notice. An invitation for bids (IFB) will be posted on or about November 16, 2024, with an expected proposal due date of January 9, 2025.
The Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital (Bedford VAMC), located at 200 Springs Road in Bedford, MA, has a requirement for a Firm Fixed Price contract for Project Number 518-22-111 Elevator Replacement Phase 3 Construction. The project consists of completely preparing site for building operations including replacement of elevator components and machinery to bring elevators up to modern code compliance. The contractor shall furnish all labor and materials and perform work for one traction passenger elevator each in Buildings 6, 7, and 62 for a total of three (3) traction elevators, hydraulic elevator each in Buildings 9, 10, and 62 for a total of three (3) hydraulic elevators as required by the scope of work, drawings and specifications.
The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238290 and the size standard is $22 Million. The solicitation is being issued as an Invitation for Bids (IFB) under FAR Part 14. A bid bond is required, and the bid guarantee amount shall be at least 20 percent of the bid price but shall not exceed $3 million. This project is 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.
