This project includes the construction of a new refueler truck yard and a new Logistics and Readiness Fuels Flight administrative and laboratory facility at Dyess Air Force Base (DAFB) for the 7th Logistics and Readiness Squadron (LRS). The refueler truck yard will include a dedicated parking area with 9-inch reinforced concrete pavement, secondary containment measures, area lighting, and pavement markings to support fueling operations. Adjacent to the yard, a single-story administrative and laboratory facility will be constructed to house administrative offices, command space, laboratory functions, and physical access control. The building will feature a reinforced concrete drilled pier foundation, load-bearing masonry walls, prefinished metal wall panels, and a standing seam metal roof on light-gauge steel framing, with complete interior finishes. The laboratory portion will be outfitted with specialized fixtures, including grounding rails, sinks, cabinetry, water filtration, vented enclosures, and dedicated heating and air conditioning systems. Additional facility features will include drainage systems, a base-wide fuel system control interface, electrical infrastructure, secure communications capabilities, a backup generator compliant with Air Force Instruction 32-1062, a mass notification system, and fire suppression and alarm systems.
