Parcel 86 Pipe Realignment Project 2024
Estimated Cost Range:
$300,000 to $340,000, plus Washington State Sales Tax (WSST)
Procurement Summary:
The Work required for this Project includes:
Parcel 86 at 3701 Taylor Way supports 3 heavy industrial users. The goal is to repair and re-establish the drainage, maintain compliance with our permits, improve tenant ability to comply with their industrial stormwater general permit, and improve water quality.
The project will include lowering of the existing Outfall 11193 to 10.00 feet and installing deeper pipes at or above the industry standard minimum pipe slope of 0.005 feet/feet. The selected alignment will route stormwater flows around the existing environmental cap, reduce overall pipe lengths, maintain existing low points, and reuse existing infrastructure, where feasible.
Piping will be sized to convey the 100-year, 24-hour storm with a minimum freeboard of 1.5 feet. One new stormwater vault will be installed, and six existing catch basins will be replaced. One new, inline check valve will be installed at the outfall to reduce seawater intrusion into the conveyance system. The existing damaged storm drainpipe will be plugged and abandoned in place.
The Port does not guarantee a certain amount of work.
