THIS IS A FORMAL EVENT/REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). Non-electronic and email responses WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The response must be submitted through the SWIFT Supplier Portal no later than the date and time called for in the Event.
PURPOSE. The Department of Administration, on behalf of the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs, requests proposals for a communication device that will be used by healthcare professionals to ensure health, safety, and security of residents in 4 of our 8 Minnesota Veterans Homes.

The solution must allow all staff from various departments the ability to communicate and have unique department “channels”. It is desired that the solution integrates with the current resident call light system and send a message and/or alert to the communication device when a call light has been activated by a resident. The goal is to reduce wait time for resident call light use, ensure emergency response communication options are in place, and improve staff response and coordination of care.

The Minnesota Veterans Homes seeking the communication devices are Bemidji, Montevideo, Preston and the Domiciliary Program in Hastings and Minneapolis. The approximate total quantity for all locations is 195 units.
CONTRACT TERM: The term of this contract is anticipated to either run from December 2024 through November 2026, with the option to extend up to an additional three (3) years in increments determined by the State, or run from December 2024 through November 2029, with no extension options. The State reserves the right to select the term that is in the best interest of the State.
SITE VISIT: Responders must contact the solicitation contact person, Allyson Youngquist, at allyson.youngquist@state.mn.us, by 3:00 PM, Central Time, on October 17, 2024, to register for a site visit. A site visit will be scheduled after the registration deadline for a mutually agreeable date and time for all pre-registered attendees. Attendance at the site visit is mandatory.
SUBMITTING QUESTIONS: The deadline for submitting questions is October 30, 2024, at 3:00 pm, Central Time. Questions must be submitted in writing to Allyson Youngquist at allyson.youngquist@state.mn.us. All questions received by the cutoff date and time will be responded to via an addendum.
