This notice is being published in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.101 requiring dissemination of information for proposed contract actions. An NOI to award a sole source contract was sent out and is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals. The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Southwest (NAVFAC SW) issued NOI to inform industry contractors of the Government s intent to execute a Sole Source Delivery Order under FAR Part 8, specifically FAR Part 8.405-6(a)(1)(B), Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. This notice satisfies the posting requirements at FAR Part 5.101.
