1. Project Overview
The City of Newton, Iowa is requesting proposals from qualified contractors for excavation services for a monolithic concrete foundation for the Newton Public Safety Storage Building, to be located at 500 West 7th Street North, Newton, Iowa.
The foundation will support a 40' x 80' post-frame storage building with 14' high sidewalls and a pitched roof. Construction is to include a shallow frost-free footing integrated with a monolithic slab as designed by the engineer of record (EOR). The City of Newton will serve as the general contractor.
