Scope of Work:
1. Material Submittal
A. Provide material & system data, installa(cid:415)on procedures, warranty data, infill specifica(cid:415)ons, and
color samples to District for review.
2. Temporary Fencing
A. Install temporary safety fencing (to be removed upon comple(cid:415)on of project).
B. Provide temporary modifica(cid:415)on of the exis(cid:415)ng exterior fence to install a secured access gate for Project Title:
construc(cid:415)on personnel, equipment, and material access.
C. Upon comple(cid:415)on of the work, remove the temporary access gate and restore the affected fence

3. Removal & Disposal
A. Remove exis(cid:415)ng surface materials within designated area (e.g., turf, grass, base materials as ap-
plicable). Drawing Title:
B. Legally dispose of all removed materials off-site in accordance with local and State regula(cid:415)ons.
C. Protect exis(cid:415)ng structures, u(cid:415)li(cid:415)es, and surrounding landscaping during removal opera(cid:415)ons.

4. Subgrade Preparation
A. Contractor shall prepare the exis(cid:415)ng subgrade to receive new ar(cid:415)ficial turf system, including mi-
nor grading, leveling, compac(cid:415)on, and moisture condi(cid:415)oning sufficient to meet manufacturer toler-
ances.
B. Contractor shall verify drainage and adjust subgrade as necessary to prevent ponding.
5. Existing Structures
A. Contractor shall work around exis(cid:415)ng play and shade structures; no removal or reloca(cid:415)on of
these structures is included in the Base Bid.
B. Installa(cid:415)on under and adjacent to these structures shall result in a flush, uniform finished surface.
C. Proper slope and eleva(cid:415)on for drainage, safety, and accessibility shall be maintained.

6. Arti(cid:976)icial Turf Installation

A. Install new ar(cid:415)ficial turf system in accordance with manufacturer specifica(cid:415)ons and applicable
codes.
B. System shall include turf, infill material, base layer, and edge restraint as required.
C. Provide proper seam installa(cid:415)on, anchoring, and infill distribu(cid:415)on to ensure durability and uni-
form appearance.
D. Finish surface shall be smooth, even, and free of wrinkles, seams, or trip hazards.
E. Contractor shall ensure smooth transi(cid:415)ons between turf and adjacent surfaces (e.g., concrete,
PIP, walkways).
7. Compliance Requirements
A. Contractor must hold appropriate California contractor license (typically C-27 or appropriate clas-
sifica(cid:415)on).
B. Contractor must be registered with the DIR pursuant to Labor Code 1725.5.
C. Prevailing wages apply (Labor Code 1720 et seq.).
D. All work shall comply with applicable State, local, and manufacturer codes and standards.

8. Protection / CleanUp

A. Protect exis(cid:415)ng structures, surrounding landscaping, and site features.
B. Remove debris daily and leave the site clean and safe for student use
