Scrap Metal and White Goods Processing

Project Description: Wake County Solid Waste Management Division is requesting bids from qualified providers to receive, process and market scrap metal and white goods materials collected at Wake County waste and recycling facilities in compliance with all applicable local, state and federal laws. The County collects scrap metal at 11 Convenience Centers and white goods at 3 Multi-Material Recycling Facilities and contracts separately for the hauling services to transport materials to the selected processing facility. The purpose of this request for bids is to obtain a highly qualified recycling processor to receive, process and market scrap metal and white goods. Once a Provider is selected, the County will bid the hauling of scrap metal and white goods from County facilities to the Provider’s location.
